The "New Year" energy is officially here, and for many of us on the North Shore, that means one thing: Puppy Resolution Season. Whether you just brought home a holiday puppy or you're finally ready to tackle those "Landshark" habits, January is the perfect time to reset your training routine. To help you get started, I’ve partnered with the Essex County Co-op in Topsfield to curate a special Training Essentials Endcap for the entire month!
Meet My Co-Pilot: Huck
If you stop by the display, you might see a familiar face on our signage. My puppy, Huck, has been hard at work testing out all the gear we’ve featured. From the best durable chews to the leashes that actually make winter walks manageable, everything on this endcap is "Huck-approved" and trainer-recommended.
What’s on the Endcap?
I’ve hand-selected tools that focus on the three biggest challenges my clients face in the winter:
The "Landshark" Phase: High-value chews and enrichment toys to keep those puppy teeth off your furniture (and hands!).
Loose Leash Walking: The specific harnesses and leashes I use to stop the pulling and start the enjoying.
Winter Safety: Gear to keep your pup visible and comfortable during our dark, chilly New England evenings.

Free Training Tips to Go
I know that gear is only half the battle—the other half is knowing how to use it! That’s why I’ve stocked the display with Free Take-Home Tip Cards. These cards are designed to fit right in your pocket or training bag. They cover quick wins for common behaviors so you can have professional advice at your fingertips during your next practice session.

The display will be up all through January at the Essex County Co-op (86 Boston St, Topsfield, MA).
I’d love to see what gear you’re grabbing for your pups! If you stop by, snap a photo of your haul (or a selfie with the endcap!) and tag me on Instagram @YourBuddysBuddy.
Let’s make 2026 the year of the well-behaved dog!!
